ABOUT THE MAKER

Irina is an artist and herbalist living in Brooklyn.
She apprenticed for 3 years with herbalist Robin Rose Bennett,
and went on to work at Flower Power Herbs & Roots for 2 years,
with herbalist Lata Kennedy (2005-7). She also studied with
Matthew Wood, Susun Weed, Pam Montgomery and others.
Irina earned a BFA, and minor in Biology from Indiana University.
She works as an ethnobotany research assistant at the NY Botanical Garden.
Irina loves being outdoors, and travels to wild areas of upstate New York
and Long Island, where she gathers most of her healing plants.
